ImageMumbai: The search for Times of India consulting editor Sabina Sehgal Saikia continued on Day 2, as her husband and brother combed the city's hospitals for Sabina Sehgal Saikia a second time.  "We were told there was a fresh load of people brought out of the Taj but didn't find Sabina anywhere," said husband Santanu Saikia.

Making sure all leads were followed through till the end, Santanu spent a good part of the day at the mobile phone operator's office, where it was clarified that Sabina's phone was very much on the Taj premises. Since mobile phone lines in the area had been jammed, the service provider's Raigarh tower was picking up the signal across the sea water.
The family has tried all sources to find Sabina and are painstakingly following up every rumour. "We were told there were three unidentified bodies being taken out from the Taj and my brother-in-law rushed behind the ambulance to check. All three were male," said Santanu.
After news that hostages were being released, Sabina's brother Nikhil parked himself outside Taj hotel on Friday afternoon. "I've heard lots of firing and saw a few hostages come out but my sister wasn't among them," he said.
The hotel's 6th floor where Sabina was staying has been badly gutted. It is unclear whether a search party has actually done a proper survey of the area. At the time of going to press, there was still no sign of the journalist. We at the Times of India are praying for her to be safe.
